(NEWTOWN, Conn., April 11, 2001) - Leverage Marketing Group has again been named a Communicator Award winner, this time in their 2001 Print Media Competition. The Newtown-based advertising and marketing communications firm netted three "Awards of Distinction" this year in the following categories: Logo Design (for Atinavs Avenue logo), Web Site/Home Page (www.leverage-marketing.com) and Marketing/Promotion/Post Card (for a Leverage promotion series).
This year the agency also received Honorable Mention for their "Face-to-Face" statement stuffer campaign developed for Ridgefield Bank. The informational, instant-win and sweepstakes piece used scratch-off programmed learning tactics to deliver a variety of educational messages on the banks new personal financial service offerings.
Of the 3,344 entries submitted nationally, fewer than one in five received an "Award of Distinction." According to award organizers, the "Award of Distinction" is presented to only those entries that "exceed industry standards in communicating a message or idea." Last year, the agency won a 2000 "Award of Distinction" for their Goodwick Associates/Liazon merger announcement.
Prior to merging late 1999, Liazon and Goodwick Associates were no strangers to awards. Liazon, a consumer sales promotion firm has serviced such national accounts as Sprint, Coca-Cola and Alamo Rent-a-Car, was a co-recipient last summer of the industry's prestigious REGGIE® Award. Goodwick Associates, the 15-year-old business-to-business MarCom mainstay for such clients as Sealed Air, Unilock and many others, has been a six-time winner of the GraphicDesign:usa Award of Excellence.
Leverage Marketing Group currently services over a dozen accounts, including Cendant Mobility, Coca-Cola, The Finn Commerce and Technology Center, Sealed Air Corporation, Shaws and Unilock.
