Agency Creates Award-Winning Survey Campaign for Promo Magazine Utilizing
Pre-Paid Cards from Sprint
Refreshable Phone Cards Help Net Survey Response
NEWTOWN,
Conn.
A media support campaign, co-created by Liazon Marketing and Sprint FonPromotions
for PROMO Magazine, was recently recognized with the Gold Dialog
Award by the publication. The campaign, which was managed and supported
in part by Liazon affiliate Promotion Mechanics, also of Newtown, utilized
Sprints pre-paid "VIP" phone cards to promote ongoing
participation in a series of monthly reader surveys.
Survey respondents, who were given an initial 60 minutes of pre-paid long-distance
phone time, were credited an additional 30 minutes each time they completed
another monthly survey.
"Getting subscribers to answer surveys can be a daunting task,"
said managing editor, Peter Breen, in PROMOs December '99
issue. "Response rates of eight percent to nine percent gave
PROMO insight into the thoughts of its audience," he said.
Winners of PROMO Magazines fourth annual Dialog Awards
were recognized for their phone card successes in a variety of applications
and industries. The Sprint campaign for PROMO received the magazines
highest honor under the category of "media."
Liazon Marketing, which earlier this year won a REGGIE Award for
another business-to-business "Foncard" campaign for Sprint,
provides award-winning promotions and campaigns for a variety of national
accounts, including Hewlett Packard and Alamo Rent-a-Car. It recently
merged with the nationally known, Newtown-based MarCom firm, Goodwick
