(NEWTOWN, Conn., Sept. 17, 2002) - The Goodwick/Liazon Leverage Marketing Group, a Newtown-based promotions and marketing communications firm, has developed a month-long, chain-wide, in-store sales promotion with Massachusetts-based Shaw's Supermarkets. The promotion, which runs through October 4, 2002, offers Shaw's Rewards Card holders throughout New England a chance to win from over $600,000 in instant cash and free product prizes, plus instant merchandise coupons, via eight million scratch-off game cards. A $25,000 grand prize cash drawing will also be held.

"The program is designed to increase store activity, and enhance the value and usage of Shaw's popular Rewards Card," said Mike Casale, president of Leverage Marketing Group.

In addition, employees were introduced to the program by receiving their own game cards, which allows them to win instant cash, products and coupons plus a chance to win a $5,000 cash grand prize.

"By including a 'replica' employee game, we not only introduced the program to 30,000 associates at 186 stores in a highly effective way, we also ensured understanding and enthusiasm for added impact and excitement," noted Casale.

Leverage has conducted successful game promotions for Alamo, Coca-Cola, Star Market and many others.
