Advertisement for Sealed Air Corporation Receives
"Harvey Communication Measurement Award"
Ad Selected by the Readers of Industrial Equipment News
(NEWTOWN, Conn., Sept. 5, 2001) - A business-to-business advertisement, created for Sealed Air Corporation by the Newtown-based Leverage Marketing Group, has been selected as a recipient of the 2001 Harvey Communication Measurement Award.
The full-page color ad for the Instapak¨ foam-in-place packaging system, was chosen by the readers of Industrial Equipment News, a trade magazine with a circulation in excess of 200,000. The award is the result of five separate studies conducted by the magazine with its readers, in which data was collected through the mail and face-to-face interviews. The results showed "a growth in recognition" and "a growth in brand preference," according to Stan Greenfield of IEN.
Sealed Airs winning ad - "Power Packed!" - was the most widely read advertisement in its category, outperforming the average by 10%. The ad features Coastal Business Machines president, Jonathan Sevel, who is quoted as saying "Instapak¨ packaging is the power behind our companys growth!" The Instapak¨ system has saved Coastal Business Machines 50% in packaging costs.
"For nearly 12 years, the partnership between our company and Sealed Air has resulted in many accolades, including this most recent advertising recognition," said David Goodwick, CEO of Leverage Marketing Group. In 2000, IEN selected another Sealed Air Corporation ad done by Leverage, "This is Waste - This is Waste Management," as one of the three "Most Significant Ads of the 20th Century."
Leverage Marketing Group currently services over a dozen accounts, including Cendant Mobility, Coca-Cola, The Finn Commerce and Technology Center, Sealed Air Corporation, Shaws and Unilock.
